NEVER ENDING.

The past two weeks have been NOTHING but celebrating my birthday. This year has been a never ending birthday for me and I am taking each surprise as they come! Victor planned the best surprise party for me! EVERYTHING was handmade and very creative! I just never want to remove the decorations EVER. There's actually still a couple of decorations up. The week of my birthday we went on a cruise (the 16th to the 20th) and it was my first cruise. I loved it and enjoyed the 24/7 buffet! Victors mom gifted us the trip and all 3 of us had a great time! Look out for more pics of the cruise on Victors blog! As if the cruise wasn't enough, my good friends Koko and Jackie planned the BEST SLEEP OVER EVER. I always wanted to attend a sleepover as a kid but having a strict mom that DID NOT HAPPEN. I was so happy to experience that at 23! It only took 23 years! YIPPIE! The slumber party was INCREDIBLE. They had wings, wigs, funky glasses, pizza,  AND Koko made us each a Mean Girls tie dye t-shirt! Everything that I absolutely L O V E ! They decorated their apartment so cute and it was like my very own barbie play house! We played games, acted a fool, and were going Vine crazy! The night was so perfect that I even uploaded my very first 'instavideo'. One thing could only describe this slumber party, and that is that it was:  "SO FETCH!".

ONE.

I woke up Saturday morning with the urge to get out and take a hike! Our apartment is 15 minutes away from Griffith Park (one of my favorite LA places), so naturally that was where I headed. The sun was out and the temperature rising but that didn't stop me. I packed my boyscouts backpack and set out on my hike at 12:38pm and didn't make it back down until 2:40pm. I had such a good time! I enjoyed this 'me time'. I always hear or read a lot of people claiming they are taking "me time" but I never really tried it or felt like I needed to. Well Saturday was one of those days. Once I started hiking I felt great, I didn't feel like I needed anyone to be there with me. I hiked up to the Griffith Observatory (bumped into A LOT of tourists snapping photos, even a fashion blogger taking some outfit of the day shots)  and kept going passing 'Dantes View'.  Around 3' o clock I took off my shoes and socks and laid under some trees. The wet soil and grass felt incredibly fresh and I was sure to take everything in. It was a great time to clear my mind and prepare myself for the future.

DAY TRIP.

Labor Day weekend is supposed to be a long weekend for most but working in retail we do not have the luxury of having Monday off. Since Victor and I had both Saturday and Sunday off, I planned a surprise day trip to Solvang, CA. I used to take trips to Solvang with my family almost every summer as a kid. Since meeting Victor I have always brought up Solvang and how cute it is. I always told him we would go and figured this weekend would be the perfect weekend. Well, this perfect weekend kind of bit me in the butt because I did not realize that it was Memorial Day weekend, and ALL the hotels were booked! I wanted so bad to spend a night in Solvang but that wasn't going to happen. I decided to turn it into a day trip instead. We left early Saturday morning and after driving for 3 hours we finally made it to Solvang safely. This is probably the longest I've driven non-stop and a bit nerve wracking because of the curvy road and hills. Whenever I drive somewhere far with passengers in my car (especially with Victor) I always feel so good once I reach our destination safely, not sure exactly how to explain it but I feel like I took care of the cargo in my car (my precious cargo). I think it's the dad in me.

We had a great time walking around Solvang, visiting old homes that are now turned into thrift shops, home boutiques, and pigging out. Can't wait to go back and actually spend a night or two there!

A 24/7 Christmas store! I BELONG HERE.
